==Early Life==

Dylan was born in Ann Arbor Michigan to parents Michelle McCormick and Gerald Dickens. After Gerald received his PhD from the University of Michigan, the Dickens family moved to Townsville, Australia while Dylan was still only 6 months old. There he lived for 5 years as his father taught Earth Science at James Cook University. While he was there he befriended three kangaroos and a wallaby. His younger brother and sister were both born during this time. Dylan then moved to Washington D.C. in the 2001, perhaps sparking his eventual interest in Politics. After only a year in D.C., the Dickens family moved again to Friendswood, Texas, a small suburb south of Houston. There his father found work at Rice University, the school destined to provide an undergraduate education to Dylan. After a 5 year tenure as Masters at Martel College and a single year abroad in Stockholm, Sweden, Dylan returned to Friendswood to finish out High School and eventually went to Rice.

Dylan is a rising junior-year student majoring in Comparative Political Science and Archaeology at Rice University. He resides at the residential college of Martel and is also pursuing a major in International Policy Studies and a minor in Energy, Water and Environmental Sustainability.

Dylan is the Executive Vice President of the Baker Institute Student Forum as well as the Service Committee Chair and a Junior Class Representative within the Martel Collegiate Government. Dylan is involved in a variety of advising roles on campus and holds positions including:

Dylan was born in Ann Arbor Michigan to parents Michelle McCormick and Gerald Dickens.
