I am delighted to announce that I have won a 2012 Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship from the [ Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation] to further my research in the field of entrepreneurship.
A [ list of fellowship winners]] is published on the Kauffman site. Each year, since 2003, there are 15 winners. This year there were 128 proposals submitted, and I am the only winner from U.C. Berkeley this year, one of three from the Western U.S., and one of two from the attendees of the [[Entrepreneurship Research Boot Camp|NBER Entrepreneurship Bootcamp]].
The fellowship is worth $20,000 and this year's winners will be formally recognized during a reception on January 7, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the upcoming Allied Social Science Association/American Economic Association annual meetings in Chicago, Illinois on January 6-9, 2012.
