ββThe University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston
The Texas Medical Center is the largest medical center in the world with ample facilities for patient care and research. It boasts 21 renowned hospitals, 14 support organizations, 10 academic institutions, eight academic and research institutions, seven nursing programs, three public health organizations, three medical schools, two pharmacy schools, and a dental school.

Baylor provides education, research, patient care and community service. It is comprised of four schools β the Medical School, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Allied Health Sciences and National School of Tropical Medicine.The college has total research support of $363 million, with $280 million from federal sources, and more than 90 research and patient-care centers and units. Baylor College of Medicine trains more than 3,000 medical, graduate, nurse anesthesia, and physician assistant students, as well as residents and post-doctoral fellows.

Hosts more than 70 major buildings, more than 3,000 students and more than 900 faculty.The 84-acre main campus in Galveston includes four schools, three institutes for advanced study, a major medical library, a Level 1 Trauma Center and numerous research facilities including the Galveston National Laboratory, the only BioSafety Level 4 laboratory on a U.S. university campus. A network of hospitals and clinics, including a new hospital in Galveston to open in 2016, and expanded in-patient care on a 65-acre campus in League City to open in 2015, provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care.
