** how much focus on customization? if we're mostly focused on getting traffic and clean editing interfaces, then Medium seems like a good choice (no self-hosting though)

** I haven't used Ghost before, but it seems like a good alternative to Wordpress.
** Anchor also looks cool (lightweight and open-source)
