The purpose of this category is to regularize titles and texts when writing about legislation on the wiki. This category should make it easier to locate and link bills based on specified qualities.

In order to maintain organization, all titles in the Legislation category should use the format:

 (Congress)###-(HR or S)### Name of Bill

For example:

 112-HR1249 Leahy Smith America Invents Act

In the case that then name is also an acronym, use the acronym. For example:

 114-S1137 PATENT Act

Much of the information for these pieces of legislation can be taken directly from congress.gov. Be sure to use correct citations.
