The Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) is a non-profit that offers a statewide network of public and private sector partners for small and medium sized manufacturers. TMAC is part of a nationwide network affiliated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). TMAC offers a unique approach to ISO implementation and registration that is customized to each company’s needs. If you are in the beginning phases of establishing a Quality Management System, TMAC provides a straightforward methodology to develop a quality policy manual, procedures, work instructions, and all required forms/records. Examples and templates are provided as needed. For companies with existing Quality Management Systems, TMAC can perform a Gap Analysis to determine where you are in relation to the standard and a plan to close the gap. TMAC’s process of implementation not only results in a successful registration but also drives continuous improvement within the organization
