The Houston Minority Supplier Development Council (HMSDC) brings together Corporate Members and Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) together to expand business opportunities and encourage business growth. <br />
In carrying out its mission, the The Houston Minority Supplier Development Council will:<br />-Promote (HMSDC) brings together corporate members and minority business enterprises (MBEs) to expand business opportunities and capabilities of encourage business growth. It promotes business opportunities with minority entrepreneurs, and work to eliminate barriers works to create equal economic opportunity opportunities for MBEs in the marketplace.<br />-Be proactive in helping The HMSDC helps MBEs respond to issues and developments which that impact their business opportunities potential for growth and growth.<br />-Promote educational promotes research activities and services directed at the establishmentfocusing on establishing, developmentdeveloping, expansion and encouragement of expanding minority-owned businesses.<br />-Be a reliable, effective source for identifying capable and competitive MBEs.<br />-Help corporations and government agencies develop, maintain and expand minority business development programs and recognize those that conduct outstanding programs.<br />

A Minority Business Enterprise Certificate increases business visibility, credibility, and provides valuable professional and business mentoring. The Houston Minority Supplier Development Council provides Pre-Certification Workshops the first Thursday of every month to assist in the application and it is strongly recommended to attend.
