The McNair Center's =Project for Entrepreneurial Ecosystems has two primary goals. The first of which is to identify and explain all fundamental components of an entrepreneurial ecosystem in an educational manner. The second is to research and discover the shared characteristics of successful startups in order to determine statistically significant correlation and potential causation.Outline=

==Works Work in Progress==*The [[Hubs (Academic Paper)]] examines metropolitan statistical areas with and without hubs to establish determine the impact that hubs might play in the growth of a city's collective startup community. *The [[Entrepreneurial Entrepreneurship Ecosystems of Houston Academic Paper(Issue Brief)]] delves into Houston's entrepreneurial ecosystem to ascertain whether "crowding out" may be occurring.

Moving forward, the Project for Entrepreneurial Entrepreneurship Ecosystems intends to expand via the following possible deliverables:*Entrepreneurial The [[Entrepreneurship Ecosystems Wiki Page]] will provide a general overview of entrepreneurship and its various components.*Defining Entrepreneurial Ecosystems The [[Navigating the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem (Vlog)]] will function in much the same way as the wiki page above; however, its message will likely be split up into multiple videos and directed towards a more casually interested audience.*Entrepreneurial The [[Entrepreneurship Ecosystem of Houston (Blog Post)]] will act as both a resource for current and aspiring entrepreneurs as well as an interesting tidbit for the general public.*Entrepreneurial The [[Entrepreneurship Ecosystem of Rice (Blog Post)]] will play the same role as the above blog post but for the Rice community.*The [[Social Media Usage in Entrepreneurship (Blog Post)]] will demonstrate to entrepreneurs the manners in which social media can be used to benefit their startups.*Micro-Geography Academic Paper*The [[Goldilocks (Academic Paper)]] will look at a similar relationship as the one discussed above, although its aim is to establish a "golden distance." That is, there is a certain distance that startups should be apart from each other in order to increase their likelihoods of success.*Hubs Academic Paper*The [[Start-Ups of Houston (Map)]] will be a comprehensive map of all the startups in Houston.*The [[Micro-Geography (Database)]] will report the distances of startups to each other. *The [[Houston Accelerators and Incubators (Report)]] will explore the usefulness of Houston's accelerators and incubators.
