Diana Carranza is a Rice student currently working on the Research Team for the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy's McNair Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Diana currently lives in the Houston area and attends Rice University.
 
==Early Life==
Diana was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua. Her parents and brother live in their home country, which is only 3 hours away on a direct flight from Houston. Diana attended a private German school in Nicaragua, where she was able to do a summer exchange program in Hannover, Germany at the age of 13. At the age of 17, she moved to Searcy, Arkansas to attend college and lived there for 4 years. After graduation, she went back home to gain work experience before deciding to move again to the U.S to attend Grad school.
 
==Education==
Diana is currently pursuing a Master of Global Affairs. Rice University's Master of Global Affairs is a unique, two-year professional Master of Arts degree offered by the James A. Baker, III Institute for Public Policy and the School of Social Sciences. She intends to specialize on International Political Development.
 
 
==Work Experience==
Diana has worked on the oil & gas and the tobacco industry. She worked as a Projects & Administration Manager for Noble Energy's oil exploration project in Nicaragua and subsequently as External Affairs Manager for British American Tobacco Nicaragua Branch.
