The Women's Business Enterprise Alliance is a third-party certifier for women-owned businesses. Though headquartered in Houston, this non-profit organization serves a 94-county Texas region with programs, activities, and educational opportunities designed to support and promote women-owned enterprises. Through its tenure, the WBEA has certified over 750 women-owned businesses, representing over $9 billion in revenue and over 40,000 jobs created.
Services
Certification is the cornerstone of WBENC’s CORE platform (Certification, Opportunities, Resources and Engagement). The WBENC also connects WBENC-Certified Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) with WBENC's Corporate Members to facilitate real time business opportunities. They serve as a Resource to offer training that helps the Corporate Member and the WBENC-Certified WBE grow their capacity. WBENC's certification is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America's most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and other entities. WBENC is also an approved Third Party Certifier for the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program.
